Refund Policy

If Fieldnotes isn’t for you, ask for a refund. No forms, no surveys, no “are you sure” loops.

The promise

Within 30 days of your purchase, email us and we’ll refund the full $14.99. No questions asked, no reason required.

How to request one

Email hi@fieldnotes.fm with the email address you used at checkout, so we can look up the order. That’s it.

Refunds run through Gumroad and typically land back on your card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

What happens to your data

Your recordings, transcripts, and any other Fieldnotes data live on your Mac — not on our servers. After a refund, the app continues to work as installed; we’d appreciate it if you stopped using it, but we have no way to remotely disable a license you’ve already paid for and then returned. Deleting the app and its data folders is up to you.

After 30 days

We can’t process automatic refunds after 30 days, but if something has gone seriously wrong — the app broke, a macOS update killed it, you bought twice by accident — email us anyway. We’ll do the right thing.
